General Hospital's Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), who's been on hiatus due to a battle with severe depression, is back taping at the ABC soap opera.

It won't be long until General Hospital fans see Kirsten Storms back on the screen as Maxie Jones; the actress returned to the set of the ABC soap opera to resume taping today!

Storms, who just recently shared that she was forced to take a hiatus earlier this year due to "severe depression," is officially back to work, meaning she'll hit television again in about six weeks.

This isn't the first time fans have had to go sans Maxie. Storms has had to take prior breaks from work due to various issues: Days of our Lives' Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) stepped in for the actress while she recovered from endometriosis in 2011; Storms took a maternity break in 2014; and DAYS' Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie Jonas) stepped in for the star while she recovered from skin issues arising shortly after her divorce from former costar Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara).

General Hospital also shared news of Storms's return on its official Twitter account. Storms was shown in a photo with Ryan Paevey (Nathan West) along with the caption "together again."

UPDATE (July 24, 2017): Storms made her on-screen return on July 24, 2017.
